#GivingTuesday: Support Your Favorite Non-Profit This Season

We at WISe know the importance of giving back to the community all year, but especially during the holiday season. This #GivingTuesday, we're thrilled to spotlight some incredible non-profit organizations that WISe works with. Each of these organizations aligns with our mission to empower wellness in every form—whether that’s mental health, physical well-being, or creating opportunities for growth and support within our communities. In this post, you’ll learn more about each non-profit’s mission, the impactful work they do, and how you can join us in supporting them this holiday season. Together, we can make a meaningful difference!

CHaOC

The Congenital Heart Alliance of Cincinnati (CHAoC), founded in 1940, is made up of a dedicated group of volunteers, most of whom have been affected personally by congenital heart defects (CHDs). Their mission is to "inspire heartfelt hope in patients and families impacted by congenital heart defects, as well as the medical practitioners that care for them, through the funding of groundbreaking research, global collaboration, and holistic well-being initiatives."

CHDs are the #1 cause of birth defect-related infant illness and death in the U.S. CHAoC funds programs that improve odds and advance the human condition. Furthermore, CHAoC provides support for families and hosts events, like scratch golf, to raise awareness and funds for advancements in overcoming CHDs This year they are hosting a toy drive for the holiday season! Make a child's Christmas a little bit brighter. Check out their Amazon Wishlist here and donate to CHAoC here.

Points 2 Success

Points 2 Success delivers transformative programs designed to elevate minority youth athletes, providing scholarships, access to training, mentorship from athletes, and resources for navigating the path to collegiate athletics, all while fostering a supportive community to empower these young talents in underrepresented sports. Points 2 Success' comprehensive programs nurture athletic talent and develop future leaders.

A big challenge for minority female athletes and their parents is the lack of information, resources, and guidance on how to participate in underrepresented sports like soccer, tennis, lacrosse, softball, and other college-level sports. Points 2 Success serves as a bridge to help these female minority youth get the resources they need. They share information on local athletic programs, camps, tryouts, training along with providing college exposure opportunities and financial assistance. Donate to Points 2 Success here.
