Alanna Martella
Who is Alanna Martella?
I am a Multi Emmy-Winning news anchor, a keynote speaker and an event host.
I take pride in giving voice to those who are often silenced and love to share the stories of people in my community and beyond.
I have sat on the Board of Advisors for the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana Branch, a position held very dear to my heart because I, myself, was once a Make-A-Wish patient. I am currently a Wish Granter at Make-A-Wish Wisconsin, where I help facilitate the wishes of critically-ill children.
On September 8th 2008, I suffered from a medical emergency called a volvulus, which is when the intestines twist around each other.
My insides went septic, and I actually died for several minutes before being revived and going into emergency surgery.
I was a news anchor and now am a personal trainer.
