3 Ways Successful People Integrate Nature Into The Work Day

One of most important principles in achieving sustainable success is renewal.  Nature is one of the most powerful- and free- tools we can use to renew.  In fact, studies show that just 23 minutes spent renewing per day can significantly improve performance.

Here are three ways that the most high-performing successful individuals integrate nature into their work day.

1.  They take walking meetings.  Whether working in-person or virtually, leaders are always on the move.  Consider taking your next team meeting out to a park setting, or take your next Zoom call from a walking path.

2. They work outdoors.  Leaders who are able to move their laptop to a porch setting, a park table or a coffee-house courtyard are able to reap the benefits of both renewal and productivity.

“Renewal is the principle—and the process—that empowers us to move on an upward spiral of growth and change, of continuous improvement.”

— Dr. Stephen R. Covey

3. They bring fresh flowers INSIDE!  If you aren't ready to commit to daily walks or outdoor time, similar benefits of outdoor forest therapy can be felt by touching and smelling fresh flowers.  Snag fresh wildflowers from your local park, or personally I snag fresh flowers for just $1.00 from my local Kroger store discount bin.
