We’re officially in Black History Month, a month to celebrate and pay tribute to the accomplishments of many generations of African Americans who have faced and continue to face adversity. An easy - almost effortless - way to support the Black community is to support black-owned businesses. And we’ve made it even easier for you by compiling 10 Black-owned businesses that are defining the future in Cincinnati and beyond.

Barely Blush is both a nail polish line and pop-up nail experience. The brand was created with women in mind, and has color collections that speak to the universal experiences women face. Created by Cincinnati native Philishea Everage, Barely Blush was just a far-off dream of hers when she started doing her friend’s nails in high school. Now, with 8 different colors to choose from and 7 different nail care products, Barely Blush is creating connections that inform and inspire a more fulfilling and healthier world for women.
